During high school, one of your friends showed off some new CD he got for free. How you ask? He had something called Napster. This spyware riddled program allowed anyone to download music for free over the internet. Several programs came before and competed to give out free music, but Napster was one of the first file-sharing programs to attract a mainstream audience.
