ham_radio Podcasts have existed for longer than Apple has let on.  While the nice interface and backlog might have been lacking, amateur radio has existed for almost a century, letting every techie with an opinion to broadcast to anyone willing to listen.  Also called Ham Radio, amateur radio operates use several methods to communicate, often requiring a licensing test.  This allows operates a great deal of freedom to experiment with transmitting equipment without requiring approval and using a variety of frequencies. Long before geeks to set up their ideal gaming rig, geeks had ham radios to toy with and many still enjoy the hobby.  It’s nostalgia at its finest.
