Apparently piracy and video games aren’t the only thing destroy movies - it’s spoilers. According to producer George Lucas, Indiana Jones director Steven Spielberg has been "depressed" over the many leaks related to the upcoming sequel. Lucas says he had reassure Spielberg that the many leaks would not affect the film’s box office, telling the director fans are "“coming to see the plot. They’re coming to see Steve Spielberg interpret a story."
Between blaming piracy and video games for phantom drops in box-offices, now Spielberg is point his finger as rabid fan interest. Fans are combing over every tidbit of info because they are excited about the movie - they want to see it. You don’t see entire websites devoted to leaks about Uwe Boll’s sure to-be-tragic Postal. People care about leaks for movies, get this, they want to see.
So Mr. Spielberg, stop being depressed. Count your hundred of millions of dollars, a just feel guilty that you’re depriving Harrison Ford valuable bingo time for this movie.
