Mathematician Joseph-Louis Lagrange called Newton the greatest genius to ever live and poet Alexander Pope wrote after Newton’s death “Nature and nature’s laws lay hid in night;
God said “Let Newton be” and all was light.” This was before there was a New York Times Best-Seller’s list.
